WHEN IS MY RENT DUE?
Each tenant’s rent is due the first of every month. If you move in during the middle of the month, your rent is pro-rated.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN'T KEEP IN MY STORAGE UNIT?
No restrictions as long as you are abiding all local laws and ordinances.
DO YOU PROVIDE LOCKS?
No. You must provide your own lock for the unit.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT?
Yes, we do require a deposit equal to one month’s rent for use of the units.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY KEY?
We can cut your lock, but there is a fee charged to your account.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept credit, debit, or direct withdrawal from a checking account. We also accept cash, check or money order.
WHAT IF MY PROPERTY GETS DAMAGED ON SITE?
We require you to have renters insurance or homeowner’s insurance. This will cover any personal damages. We are not liable for any personal property damage while on site.
WHAT IS THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT PROCESS?
Check In (Virtual and Traditional)
Virtual/Online: please visit starselfstoragewis.com and select your desired location and then select a unit to rent – the process is completed completely online, in a matter of minutes! You are ready to move in when your unit’s lease is signed and paid for.
Traditional:
This is all done over the phone. Once you decide on which unit you want to rent, you pay by debit/credit card, checking or savings account.
You will sign the lease via email or text link.
You bring a lock and can start the move in at your convenience.

- Vacating a storage unit requires a minimum of “30 day” (28 day) written notice prior to next billing date (which is the first of the month) to assure cancellation of payments and termination of your rental contract. Cancellation requests submitted within a monthly billing cycle will result in a final payment charged or withdrawn from your account on your established auto draft date. Once final payment has been drawn from your account, tenants will have the calendar month from the last bill date to use the storage unit (lease terminating on the last day of the paid month).
WHAT HAPPENS IF I'M LATE ON MY PAYMENT?
You will be charged based on the late fee schedule that is written in your lease. After you fall 30 days behind on your rental, the unit is subject to lien and subsequent lien sale (auction) processes. You will receive notices prior to such a sale, it is important that you keep your address current to allow notices to make it to your attention. Forwarding addresses are also recommended for similar purposes, including deposits that are mailed back after your rental is complete.
